AIMS Division

Sentinel Integrity’s Asset Integrity Management Services Division (AIMS) uses a continuous improvement process to help our clients optimize in-house and contract resources ensuring their mechanical integrity program is focusing on those assets representing the highest risk.

Consistency and repeatability of application are critical to sustaining an effective mechanical integrity program, regardless of whether you are using a time-based or risk-based approach. Sentinel’s subject matter experts are prepared to help with every aspect of your mechanical integrity program by providing training to your staff, executing the implementation and ever-greening your program on your behalf

AIMS Division Services Include

  • PSM Compliance Auditing

  • Baseline Mechanical Integrity Program Implementation

  • Existing Mechanical Integrity Program Optimization

  • Engineering Services

  • RBI Baseline Assessments Run and Maintain Assessments

  • Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs)

  • Turnaround Planning

  • Corrosion Studies

  • RBI Revalidations

Sentinel Can Help

  • Implement a risk-based inspection (RBI) solution that prioritizes assets according to their risk. Our best practices can be used to facilitate implementation of qualitative, semi-qualitative or quantitative assessments.

  • Implement a solution that prioritizes equipment and piping susceptible to corrosion under insulation (CUI). Our best practices can be used for either time-based or risk-based programs.

  • Implement a solution that tracks the progress of your positive material identification (PMI) program.

  • Implement and maintain your mechanical integrity software solutions onsite or via remote access.

  • Manage and maximize your resources with pre-turnaround planning, leveraging your program to identify assets requiring inspections during this or future outages.

Data Collection

  • Sentinel will evaluate current MI software design and corrosion monitoring variables; and if necessary, replace with actual equipment and inspection department’s SOP’s.

  • Sentinel provides a complete data set that will cover virtually every material, nozzle or pipe schedule found within a client's facility, regardless of the facility's MI software application.

  • Sentinel performs Pressure Vessel Calculations which makes data collection critical for accuracy and consistency throughout any mechanical integrity program.

  • Data collection is key in ensuring assets are monitored via mechanical integrity software databases correctly, so as to fine-tune asset inspection intervals.

Data Application

  • AIMS begins by ensuring that the MI software your facility utilizes is accurately performing the calculations needed to calculate minimum thickness, long/short term corrosion rates and remaining life used to predict future inspection intervals.

  • AIMS objectively evaluates every vessel, piping circuit, storage tank or relief device and only appropriate inspection strategies are applied.

  • The numerous CML discrepancies that previously existed within your record set will be resolved, and only CML’s that provide relevant corrosion data will be maintained.

  • After, we will deactivate CML’s that provide no relevant corrosion data.

  • We will perform all overdue external inspections and work closely with your inspectors so that overdue internal inspections, non-destructive evaluations (NDE) or special inspections are planned to be performed during the next scheduled outage.

  • AIMS will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of virtually all inspection activities and is easily maintained by your resident inspectors.

  • AIMS will optimize the consistency, accuracy, and manageability of any facility’s current Mechanical Integrity program, regardless of the owner/user’s program structure or software applications.

  • Our staff of API inspectors has extensive OSHA PSM experience, and we specialize in the optimization or full implementation of Mechanical Integrity Programs. Our system is capable of optimizing any type of Mechanical Integrity Program in any petrochemical facility.

  • AIMS has adapted to excel in many inspection software mediums such as Meridium, PCMS, Shield and UltraPipe.

Pre-Job Planning

  • Sentinel Integrity Solutions will assess the current CML counts to help reduce CML count with the purpose of effectively and efficiently managing future inspection resources.

  • Sentinel Integrity Solutions will re-evaluate the current systemization and/or circuitization of P&IDs to consolidate like-systems into manageable circuits.

  • Sentinel Integrity Solutions can clean up older, hand-highlighted circuitized P&ID sets into newly electronic circuitized sets to improve searchability and legibility.

Post-Job Communication

  • AIMs will work to evaluate project workflows in order to bring optimal results in an orderly and efficient manner.

  • AIMs division is well versed in operating on tight timelines therefore adapting to operate in the most efficient way possible. This environment of efficiency and optimization has minimized risk in all facets of the job to provide safe, cost-effective solutions in the development implementation, optimization, and evergreening of either risk-based or traditional time-based mechanical integrity programs within the refining, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pipeline, and power industries.

  • Once we have evaluated and analyzed all any sub-set of variables that could alter your inspection plans, clean sets of Circuitized P&IDs and Red-lined P&IDs will be at the fore-front amongst our API certified inspectors in handing over to you.

  • AIMS Division’s AutoCAD department will deliver a clean visual of actual Isometric Drawings equipped with CML placement for future use and repeatability functions.

  • AutoCAD generation can be client-driven as to what information is to be provided on each CAD.
